About Swing Left
The parent organization of our Swing Left North Shore/Cape Ann Chapter, Swing Left is the brainchild of Ethan Todras-Whitehill, a Democrat from Massachusetts who was both shocked and devasted after the 2016 Trump victory. Realizing the disastrous impact of a Trump Presidency, he gathered some friends, and they got to work, focusing their attention on flipping the House blue. They decided to dedicate their efforts in targeting Republican congressional seats in swing districts held by small margins.
Today, Swing Left engages hundreds of thousands of volunteers, organized through local chapters such as ours to take action through activities such as writing letters/postcards, raising funds, and phone banking in strategic states and districts.
About the 2025 First-term Congresspersons Fund
How it Works
The fund focuses on the congressional districts where your $$ can have the biggest impact.
Swing Left does the research to find the freshman congresspeople who will be running for reelection in 2026 and whose seats are considered vulnerable.
Targeted campaigns change monthly as race dynamics and need change.
Customizable simplicity - you have control of where your money goes.
Where the Money Goes
When you make a donation to the fund, it is automatically dispersed equally among key strategic races.
For example, the fund may be targeting 10 recipients. Therefore, a $100 donation would be distributed as follows:
$9 to Adam Gray (CA-13)
$9 to George Whitesides (CA-27)
$9 to Derek Tran (CA-45)
$9 to Dave Min (CA-47)
$9 to Kristen McDonald Rivet (MI-08)
$9 to Nellie Pou (NJ-09)
$9 to Laura Gillen (NY-04)
$9 to Josh Riley (NY-19)
$9 to Janelle Bynum (OR-05)
$9 to Eugene Vindman (VA-07)
$9 to Swing Left
NOTE: Swing Left reevaluates the key races every few weeks. 10% goes to Swing Left for administrating the funds, however you can change the allocations by clicking on "Customize amounts" before submitting.
